Aesthetically, I love the appearance of this deck. I have never walked on an Ipe or Teak tiled deck--does it feel not as "solid" as a standard deck?
Could those deck tiles be installed on top of an existing patio?

BBQ and Outdoor Kitchen
Is there a special thin IPE wood product that was used on the BBQ sides? Since wood expands, how is this handled? Thanks for any input. It's a beautiful project.
How did you frame in the BBQ/bar, i.e. concrete blocks, metal or wood?
what species of wood is the barbeque island made of?
The wood .... why was Ipe chosen for the outdoor areas? What are its unique properties. Could it work outdoors in tropical Florida?
Does the green granite bench top have a particular name? I live in Australia

Is there any special requirements to protect the ipe wood from the heat of the bbq?
