How are the rafters secured to the metal beam on the patio? Is wind uplift any more of an issue with this styl
why did you use a steel beam instead of the same wood beams used for the roof rafters? i am thinking of doing this style for a covered boat dock with the dimensions 32x27. think it could work? love the design/look. thanks.
Hi There, The steel beam has clips welded onto it that secure the wood rafters in place. Wind uplift is always an issue to consider and I would defer to a structural engineer
