Do you have any issues with the pit being dug into the concrete like that? Did you have to line it with anything?
The fire pit is a hole in the concrete with gravel in the bottom and a drain that ties into the storm drainage.
should have put more in hindsight, it faded a lot. The control joints were put in the formwork. They have worked pretty well to reduce cracking. The fire pit is just a hole in the concrete, it has no bottom. Make sure you have positive drainage from your slab, ours puddles a bit.
