will the maple live in semi shady areas? I have a corner of my backyard that is shady more so in the winter months. Having a hard time finding something to live there.

What surface color and product was used to create the exterior finish?
This looks like a smooth, hard-troweled stucco (exterior plaster) finish. I'm not sure about the color. Good luck.
