I have been reading that these tiles tend to expand and contract with the weather. Are there any tiles that are not made of hardwood that would not have this problem? Some sort of manmade material like Trex decking?
Could those deck tiles be installed on top of an existing patio?
Aesthetically, I love the appearance of this deck. I have never walked on an Ipe or Teak tiled deck--does it feel not as "solid" as a standard deck?

The deco tiles are from Latin Accents - the source should be shown on the photo credits on Houzz
The tiles have been installed now for 13 years in a overnight frosty winter climate, and every 2 years or so we have sealed them. They are still intact, but suffering because of the weather
don't all want everything to look like it just came out of the box for years to come - some folks spend crazy money on "antiqued" and "distressed" tiles and other materials, when if you just use the new it will eventually wear and patinate nicely.
