Upper Garden with 'Ha-Ha' wall: One side of the sinuous retaining stone wall is faced with stone, the other face sloped and turfed, forms a green pool for the upper garden. The ha-ha wall backed by Annabelle Hydrangeas conceals the driveway from sight and extends the view to the lower garden as one

Terrace with planted joints
This garden renovation was previously a blighted construction site. Three terrace levels were manipulated on a tricky, compact site. Linear strips of Isotoma were planted to create a living rug and visual interest for the deck viewing above. A spa was set into an Ipe deck. PHoto credit: Meg Messina
yes, there is a secret door made of ipe, on the downhill side of the spa. The second boxwood on the downhill portion of the spa is planted still in its can, so it is easy to pull out of the way if one requires access.

Pebble stone path with nice tree and low profile plants
Kyoto by going for Japanese style in your garden. While Japanese gardens appear to be minimal and simple, every rock, sculpture, plant and path has been placed with great care.
