Hi Lacey, the wood used for this table top was salvaged from the interior renovation, cedar planks were cut into 6 inch x 2 inch pieces and were glued onto a plywood top stalled in a herringbone pattern then sealed. I suggest mdf instead of of the plywood base. The top will be more stable and will
will not wharp. Any type of wood could be used but if your using it outdoors I suggest a good sealer. The salvaged wood had a great patina in it and became highlighted when sealed, good luck to your reader.
love a porch with no railing, only benches, although I wouldn't want it to be too high off the ground. also love the posts as table

Brick to indoor planters and a narrow table drawers
Clay brick is made mostly of natural materials, such as shale, kaolin and minerals. In addition, bricks from old or demolished structures can be salvaged for new applications — particularly nice if you're aiming for a vintage effect. • Slip resistance. Left unfinished, brick has a slightly rough, textured
Purple Heart vine in the corner is especially easy to grow; propagate it by simply sticking cuttings into soil. The silver-leaved foliage plant on the table appears to be Dusty Miller (Senecio cineraria); it's a fantastic decorative touch in this rustic, historic-looking room. The blooming bush is Abutilon

wood tables are natural choices, but keep an eye out for interesting containers for plants, mirrors and artwork, too. Imperfect finds you might pass up for the living room could be splendid on a summer porch, so keep an open mind.

What type of wood is used for the dining table?
Where did you get the long, thin table in the middle? love it!
The wood looks salvaged, but it might be bleached or whitewashed, both of which can produce a similar effect.
Beautiful!!! all of it and the bench for the table
