How high are the lanterns from the mantle? What are the measurements of the lanterns on the fireplace?
What kind of wood is the stained porch ceiling?
What type of wood is the floor? Beautiful!!
What type of screen is this? I love how transparent it is. Gorgeous.
did you use a special type of wood. Thank you so much!
maintenance of the Ipe? Given that its covered from most of the elements does it still "gray" or did you apply anything to it and if so, how often is that required to maintain the original, dark, rich color?
We use the Screen Tite system. We have added blocking(wood) around the columns above. The column capital and base are the hardest to work around. Screen tite has a small profile system now and most carpenters can do a mock up for your approval. It does take some finesse.

type of stone is on the patio? Beautiful!
to just use a water proof membrane with proper pitching for the water to drain and then use the Synthetic (Trex type material) planks for the flooring. I would have preferred a proper floor like in a room, but that seems to be too much work. I will consult with an Engineer anyway.
@dianelabella. Sorry but my client purchased all of the furnishings....I'm not sure where she got them. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes

The stain is a semi-transparent stain from Cabot. It was a mixture of "new cedar" and just natural sealer. Gary Dresser Dresser Homes
deflection of structure. Stone on a slab is a superior way to go. There are thin set systems available like Mape or Shlueter I would recommend you consult an engineer. There is much to think about and the investment should be a carefully planned.

who is the maufacturer of the furniture displayed here/
who is the manufacturer of the furniture displayed here?

much less use than a living room or especially a family room. So I would say that if you are sitting on a sofa every day for a period of time a fully upholstered sofa will give you more comfort and support in the back. If you love the look of antique wicker than I would go with a down-wrapped foam core
recommend using professional painters that will thoroughly clean the pieces, use the most appropriate paint and give you a perfect finish.
Is it difficult to pain wicker? I've got a medium/dark color wicker that I'd like to lighten. Love the uniqueness of the antique wicker that you painted.

the look of some older houses here in Atlanta where the brick had been painted and then sand blasted off. (This is a new house, btw). We used white mortar (and white sand) and had the brick masons "smear" a little mortar on the bricks with their trowel as they went. Of course we did a couple samples

be out of touch due to her illness.
Dear Shaynee; The owner used a rare aged Georgia Stone Mountain Blue Stone that she and her mason hunted down. I have lost touch with her, at least she has not been returning messages. I fear she may be having trouble with her illnesses. Perhaps I'll try calling

Consider the use of a cheap potting bench or one Scott can make.
The use of the older itmes
Why not put a nice piece of art in there?
build one of these tables for the laundry room or porch
or window as background of potting bench
one end of the side porch. use table for needs
nests. Use white vinegar diluted with water and spray it over the entire surface. Let soak for a little bit and then rinse with a hose. Pat dry and bring inside only when dried completely.
If plumbing doesn't allow for a sink, just find a cozy corner of a back porch, hall or mudroom and set up a potting
a coat of paint to make the grouping look more intentional.

did you use for the porch floor?
Use of furniture in a more narrow area
traditional blue-green color, heft of railing and spindles, heft of lintel, but top of columns look chopped off and trim looks glued on. Georgous hydrangeas
Very nice use of narrow patio
maybe use color on top rail and posts like they did in this picture? Actually, like this color they use a lot. Us on shutters, too? Or maybe doors?
love the hydrangeas and bushy plants...what can we use to give the same affect?
Use cut flowers. A vase full of blooms is a wonderful way to add color to the porch.
