It was continued around the room and since the walls were rounded the mosaic tile allowed for an easier installation. However you could do just one accent wall and we have done that in other projects. If you choose to do that, you may want to consider

in case we need to cut the shower out of current bathroom and create an exit door. rounding the walls might be a nice idea, though may use more room.....
