Wendy Blount, of Blount Architectural and Interior Design, andone of Atlanta’s most unique and refreshing designers, graduated from Schiller International University in Heidelberg Germany and moved to Moscow, Russia soon after. While there, she created a Russian giftware line, which appeared in high-end stores and catalogues in the United States. She co-owned a property development company there as well. Once back in the U.S. she created asmall, highly sought-after firm on 14th Street, which, despite its high demand, accepts only four to five clients at a time.

Brooke Taylor, our associate designer, obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations from Emory University. Lucky for us, she felt the world of fabrics and color calling. She joined the firm in 2004 after a summer trip to Europe. She returned ready to work and has been an integral part of the firm since that day.

At Blount Design we believe that desirable interiors are no longer “picture perfect”; that the static, beige rooms of the 80’s and 90’s are not a true reflection of who we are. We love many different styles from contemporary to traditional. We love travel and collecting. We love our grandmothers’ pieces too. Interiors are finally beginning to reflect all this and it is exciting! You can travel to Morocco and bring back a great piece of pottery, place it atop your great aunt’s antique buffet and not worry about “messing up” the room by doing so!
Murphy & Harry

Harry & Murphy, our dogs, also join us each day.

We believe that in the quick-and-dirty, make-it-disposable world we have been creating, people are now looking for quality and longevity. Many of us live away from our families and we are looking for history; we want to be centered. And as a result of the “me” generation, we are excited by lots of different styles, colors and textures, eras and lines and we want to surround ourselves with everything that speaks to us. And we CAN have it all. It is these factors that are shaping the aesthetic sensibilities of a new design community and we cannot wait to get into work every day to share in it.
