Along with Konrady & Son Construction, we transformed the master suite, eliminating the soaking tub and replacing it with a fully custom walk-in shower complete with a Rohl rainfall showerhead and frameless glass door. With functionality resolved, we needed a style direction and for the art-loving clients with bold taste, a classic, French-inspired scheme was an obvious choice. The vanity (not pictured) was designed around the client’s vintage chair and art deco pendant hanging above.

Double glass front doors at the home's foyer provide a welcoming glimpse into the home's living room and to the beautiful view beyond. A modern bench provides style and a handy place to put on shoes, a large abstract piece of art adds personality. The compact foyer does not feel small, as it is also open to the adjacent stairwell, two hallways and the home's living area.

This vintage style bathroom was inspired by it's 1930's art deco roots. The goal was to recreate a space that felt like it was original. With lighting from Rejuvenation, tile from B&W tile and Kohler fixtures, this is a small bathroom that packs a design punch. An entry area to the home, this family laundry room became a catch-all for coats, bags and shoes. It also served as the laundry hub with a collection of portable drying racks, storage shelves and furniture that did not optimize the available space and layout. The new design made the most of the unique space and delivered an organized and attractive mud and laundry room with bench seating, hooks for hanging jackets and laundry needs, integrated wall drying racks, and lots of convenient storage.

The honed granite makes a statement on this large island designed to seat the family of 5 with extra space for additional guests on the ends. The triple glass and wood cabinets to the counter create a focal point and contain appliance garages on the bottom--housing small appliances including blender and toaster. The light grey cabinetry in the utility room adds interest to the view.

Having two young boys presents its own challenges, and when you have two of their best friends constantly visiting, you end up with four super active action heroes. This family wanted to dedicate a space for the boys to hangout. We took an ordinary basement and converted it into a playground heaven. A basketball hoop, climbing ropes, swinging chairs, rock climbing wall, and climbing bars, provide ample opportunity for the boys to let their energy out, and the built-in window seat is the perfect spot to catch a break. Tall built-in wardrobes and drawers beneath the window seat to provide plenty of storage for all the toys. You can guess where all the neighborhood kids come to hangout now ☺
