living room made for the south! This home features a dark-wooden entertainment center by Wood-Mode and western decor. The light yellow walls give the room a mellow feel and the western decor on the open shelving and walls take you to a time before our time.

The Salsa House
Using unused space along ceiling for book display
like FI ceiling and book shelf, not formal looking
Wow! love the effect on the ceiling and the book shelf built
Interesting designs. Books at top, storage? Color, all kinds of things.
the ceiling beams being used ingeniously. Another space that was waiting to be filled. And right in the kitchen — a room not often thought about for books.

Narrow hall shelves for book storage
Using transitional space for books; like it.
this is what i want with an office, but I want the books downstairs and a studio to paint upstairs with an extra bed for guests
more books and a sloping roof. Hallways are good places for books, because they don't take up space in other rooms and the mental noise they create (look how many of those books I haven't read yet!) is tucked out of the way, yet they are still easily accessible.
Hallways can also be mezzanines, so the books then become a part of the larger house, not tucked away from other rooms.
below.Tip: Take note of the track lighting, art lighting and library lamps used to spotlight the shelves in many of these photos. Shining light on your books and objects will transform the way you experience your library space, especially at night. See more ways to incorporate libraries into other spaces
