The Tiny Tack House
Our Tiny Tack House
Another attractive interior space, this one 133 sq. ft. plus 63-sq-ft sleeping loft.
Nice use of space..maybe garage area?
Drop table down instead of up. Good: the table height is determined by the placement of the attachment point on the wall and not the cabinets below it. Bad: needs space between
I love all the wood and the smart space saving ideas!
The front door opens up to a combined live-work space. Malissa, who works in 3-D design, planned the entire home herself. "When building such a small space, especially on a trailer where you have fairly set dimensions, you have a certain amount of creative freedom," says Chris. The Tacks did everything
everything they could to cut down on power use and save space. All of the lights use LED bulbs. Malissa's computer monitor doubles as a television, cutting down on accessories, power and unnecessary space. Her desk folds down when not in use.

Hi Alix. Do you know the dimensions of the leather chair? I have a small living room space and finding a smaller leather chair has been a challenge. Thanks!

Is this the arc of the roof over a bonus space? Is this what "unfinished" space will look like? Rather have A frame NOT the squared off space like the previous picture.--Not this formal, but similar.

This attic-style game room is the perfect spot for a good, hard workout. To ensure there's plenty of space for that intense ping-pong match in a setup like this, fold up the treadmill after each use.

Built in cozy nook looks like it doubles as extra sleeping space.
shelf space & books nook below. maybe bed part can be on wheels and slide under book nook with pillows against it to allow a larger mattress. have a privacy drape (?) so that it can double as guest bed space?

Small spaces. This is one of the pricier ways to make a snug space, but once you do it, you’ll wonder why you ever waited. If you’ve got an awkward, rather small space that you can’t imagine being useful. Small rooms are instantly cozy due

picking colors for an open space. When much of the house is visible at once, as in the open plan space shown here, picking colors that work together is especially important. Using shades or tints (shades are darker; tints are lighter) of the same hue can work well in this type of space.Another approach is to
to use an environment as inspiration for the whole space — we touched on this concept in part two of this series, using the beach as an example. The colors that go well together in nature will also work as paint colors.

The posters belonged to our clients prior to the project and we loved the pop of color for this space. You can find vintage movie posters at antique markets and online.
The grey pillows came with the sectional from Lexington Furniture, the others were made by a local Atlanta workroom from fabrics we selected for the space.
This space is approximately 13' x 26' overall (the photo is being taken from a niche area at the far end) and the bunk beds fit an extra long twin mattress. We

The space to sit at the window
Great Idea for kids beds on top of a wooden layer with space underneath for drawers to put their clothing.
Beautiful space!! Walls, ceil, everything...
Open space below, chunky wood
into the hillside, a half level lower than the entry and bathroom. A built-in sleeping platform temporarily eliminates the need for another sleeping space.
