Does anyone know what kind of wood is this sliding door made of? Do you think you could do this with a tongue and groove wood?
the wood is pine, best to consult a trim carpenter for specific questions about building a barn door.
Door - like the barn door style, but not the wood they chose (larger metal attachments if possible). Also, don't like how claustrophobic these beds would be.

Kids' Custom Bunk Room
Description: Custom Bunk Beds - Photography: HAUS | Architecture
Is that a split window or did the bunk get built on top of window?
Is that window a full size window and the bunk bed is built in front of existing window? Or is the window split into 2 smaller windows?
number of questions asked about the bunk beds - congratulations!

fire/emergency exiting as required for a bedroom. Bunks are built in-front of window, but window is slightly recessed from wall for access to locks/handles. Existing exterior wall was gutted to studs, insulated, and new cladding added (smooth tongue/groove wood/painted). Window trims are same detail/depth
