Thanks for your query. The window sill has a rebate in it of about 20mm, so the bench outside the window is a bit lower than the one inside. Any rain that hits the glass will therefore drain outside. As for bugs, the windows have rubber compression seals around each pane, so once
once the whole thing is closed, it performs like any other window.
