is added right on top of drywall. I have seen this done with solid wood (although rarely) but an edge-banded veneer would likely be the most common. A 1/4" veneer is applied to the entire wall with the rectangular panels added on top. It is not difficult to do for a skilled carpenter. Talk to your interior

Two more outset columns spaced slightly less far apart than the center width complete the porch’s breadth. Differences in porch depth. Though 6 ft. (1.8 m) is a desirable depth for porches

MY PORCH Though 6 ft. (1.8 m) is a desirable depth for porches, 8 ft. (2.4 m) is ideal. Many homes are built with shallower depths. A 4-ft. (1.2-m) depth behind the column, as in this example, allows simple wooden rocking chairs and potted

What marble and size is the backsplash? 1 x 2 Carrara
and I went looking for a photo such as this one to aid me in finalizing my own. I love the backsplash - how high is it? I also read how you took the 1x2s from the basketweave - that's a great idea. I have a similar scenario - would you be willing to correspond with me off line and answer a few questions
had the tile setter pick out the 1 x 2s and set them individually in the running bond pattern. I got the tile from Waterworks, and I'm sure they have sheets of 1 x 2s in that pattern, but it's not so exotic that you couldn't find them elsewhere!
