balusters are 1/2" x 1/2" square steel pickets. They support a 1 1/2" x 3/8" steel railing, which is capped with 2" x 3" or 4" mesquite (not sure which dimension was ultimately used). Not sure what you mean by the wall rail, but a similar treatment was used throughout.

posts is 2"x2", the frame around the lattice is 1"x1" L-shaped. The posts are square, 1 1/4" each side and the handrail is round, 1 1/2" diameter. The supporting beam underneath is 3"x5". The steel being raw, we apply a layer of beeswax once in a while on the parts we touch to avoid any rust from setting
2 3/4" x 10 1/2" x 42". The finishing is oil. The oil and beeswax are from ÉcoSélection: http://www.ecoselection.com/boisacc.html. Here are a few pictures that show details of the railing and how the stairs are attached to the beam. Hope this helps!
