forward in terms of how people live today. To experiment with transparency and reflectivity, removing borders and edges from outside to inside the house, and to really depict “flowing and endless space”. To construct a house that is smart and efficient in terms of construction and energy, both in terms of the
building and the user. To tell a story of how the house is built in terms of the constructability, structure and enclosure, with the nod to Japanese wood construction in the method in which the concrete beams support the steel beams; and in terms of how the entire house is enveloped in glass as if it was poured

What type of wood was used for the stair tread and hand rail? Also what color stain?
Is it possible to find out the color stain you used on the floor? It is exactly the color I am looking for.

It’s doubtful a soul will walk past this staircase and not be drawn to this swimmer sculpture. It not only makes use of the oft forgotten-about space beneath the stairwell, but it fills it with an unexpected element. More unexpected art in home design

White Kitchen with wood island, carrara backsplash, black granite
We are considering installing but I can't find much information on the wood and long-term durability.
Oak + or _ the basic standard. ( unless your looking for a rustic finish the harder the better) When using an engineered flooring make sure solid stair trim / and or solid boards are available. If using darker colors consider un finished and finish with oil for best results to avoid fogging of polyurethane
We like the idea of using the staircase to amplify the dining room
Practical use of space...I don't want a lot of furniture
Could use this idea for stairs slats
