consolidate all of the long and narrow lots into one, more linear homestead. The design of the house took full advantage of the views toward the water by utilizing extensive glass walls. The street side of the house aff ords much greater privacy by employing a solid stucco wall with smaller punched windows
contemporary aesthetic with deep overhangs on the galvanized corrugated metal roof. A small enclosed “crows nest” extends above the main roof of the house and provides breathtaking 360 degree views.

Homestead, one of the oldest in Ipswich, Massachusetts – the owners wanted to add a first floor master suite without corrupting the exterior lines of the house. To accomplish this, we designed an independent structure that we connected to the original kitchen via a wing. Expansive, south-facing French doors
this could work in our house

On a steep hillside overlooking Yarrow Bay, the interlocking forms of this house intersect in the two-story living space, joined together at a skylight and by a bridge between the two forms. The steel framed bridge supports a walkway of cast glass, connecting the master bedroom with childrens' rooms
Step through the front door and you have the option of going up the stairs to a bridge or going down some steps toward the back of the house. Note the door at the top of the stairs, an access to one of the terraces.
