I really like this idea - it means you can re-decorate frequently without having to move nails etc, keep clutter off the stairs, and cluster things together at eye level the whole way up.

identify the light. Sorry I can't be of much more assistance as I was only the photographer shooting for a magazine feature. To further complicate things, I do know that this particular house was decorated with an eclectic mix of finds from all over the world.
