stained concrete? Are you happy with it functionally? What do you clean it with?
What type/brand is the concrete stain?
I've had difficulty with concrete paint
paint. And does it work on older concrete that been around a while?
Re: the concrete stain - it is an acid stain and was I believe a combination of two colors. I don't have the manufacturer, unfortunately. Re: the tile - it was from Tierrayfuego.com
Where did you purchase the tiles and the how much? Also, how did you get the stain black effect on the concrete risers
Hi, I have no idea what a tile riser is!!!! (never heard this expression before) but I LOVE the way you have faced the stairs with the half tiles - so much better than showing a full tile and the colours are fantastic!!! Whole house - the use of colour - amazing

Love the tiles in this photo.
Please tell me where the tiles came from. Thanks.
Are tiles like this cold-climate friendly?
I live in Chicagoand - these tiles would really liven up the drab basement stairwell
Our Decorative Tiles can be made on a frost proof clay body suitable for climates which experience freeze-thaw cycles.
The treads are made of a concrete tile called Ancient

Neat application of concrete plus tile
Hand-painted tile in a range of saturated hues is a traditional Mexican craft, often seen covering floors and in kitchens throughout the country. I love the idea of pairing ornate painted tile with modern poured concrete steps for a look that fuses past and present.

Glass House
the house is built in terms of the constructability, structure and enclosure, with the nod to Japanese wood construction in the method in which the concrete beams support the steel beams; and in terms of how the entire house is enveloped in glass as if it was poured over the bones to make it skin tight
Who did your concrete work? Love the smooth form look.
use of colour in conjunction with concrete/wood/metal
fair faced concrete walls and wood
This is very much the feel I want. Modern, sleek, calmness but also colours, rough concrete but very smooth surfaces also
Plain concrete and pop of color elsewhere
Striking painted steel girders (painted construction yellow) complement the poured concrete walls and ceiling here.

Lest we forget, concrete's appearance is not all
we forget, concrete's appearance is not all light/dark and the articulation of formwork; it can also involve colored pigments. Assuming this photograph is telling the truth, the concrete was mixed with a pigment to give it this blue-gray appearance. The wood grain still found in the concrete, combined

We made a form for each step and then poured them with concrete. We tied them into the concrete block wall as it was being built and used the steel pickets to lag bolt through the steps.
Concrete wrapped in pad & carpet maybe?

Which finish is best for interior concrete?
concrete is less expensive. Hmm...
1. You can use concrete's architectural strength as a design element. This staircase is a perfect example of how concrete can be used to great effect. With its sweeping stainless steel handrail and strong horizontal treads, this form of concrete fits beautifully into this California home. Tip: If you're
you're thinking about using concrete in your home, be sure to work with a qualified and reputable concrete contractor. Depending on the implementation and area in which your installing the concrete, you might want to check with an structural engineer to make sure your home can handle the extra material
Or, think concrete stairs for an unusual contemporary look.
