The stair was custom designed and built; we don't break out costs, but if we did, it would be difficult to extend to today's dollar terms without re-estimating the element.
veneer is applied to the entire wall with the rectangular panels added on top. It is not difficult to do for a skilled carpenter. Talk to your interior designer they must have undoubtedly at some point had something similar done in one of the homes they have worked on.
the usual way, and the panels are stained mdf, which is one of the most commonplace materials around. The carpentry was top notch however, and the design was quite intricate. So while the materials are straightforward, the execution requires high skill.
