Hello, The walls are Benjamin Moore's Bone White with an Aqua Velvet finish and the wood trim and paneling is Benjamin Moore's Linen White with a Satin Impervo finish. Hope that helps!
The mahogany here has been finished with Benjamin Moore's Penetrating Pecan stain and sealed with Sutherland Welles Exterior Polymerized Tung Oil in a medium luster.

Historic Antique Federal-Style Becomes Bright and Roomy with R
Hi, are the treads painted a different color white than the risers?
How do you choose the white? Should it be the same color as the trim? We are doing behr decorator white on our ceiling and trim. Could we do that for the stairs too?
Interesting that the entire stair case is painted white.

The white stairs are striking and jump out. Love how they contrast with the wood.

Different finish to wood but good looking & simple
"wood tones can be used sparingly when paired with white"... a useful thought for us
Love this staircase. Warming up the purity of the white walls.

Obtaining the look white back with wood top of stair
We are currently redoing our staircase. We really like the look of the contrast dark wood against the white. is the white part just paint? or what is used? would we just lay the wood floor we are
this room and others in the house: white quartersawn oak, stained 50 percent Jocobean and 50 percent Ebony mix. Same on railings- if too light make them a little more ebony mixed in.
The walls are Benjamin Moore OC-9 (ballet white) flat (prettier than eggshell finish, but harder to keep clean); and
Moore Satin Impervo (oil based) in Atrium White. This is a beautiful color trim for the entire house! Do all trim in Satin Impervo no matter what color you choose, slight shine, a classic old fashioned look. Also all ceilings: mixture 50% atrium white and 50% white -flat. Good luck!
