We are considering the rest of the hardware in the room to be black. Towel racks, door knobs/hinges, frameless shower hardware, recessed light
rubbed bronze and chrome or brushed nickel. If that's the case, what do you think the lighting finish would be? Do many people mix and match finishes like that? I love oil rubbed bronze on lighting/handles etc but in faucets and shower heads I prefer brushed nickel but thought it would look strange if

that have an overhang on the other side for bar stools? i have a long galley kitchen with a family room at the end of it. i was thinking of doing as this article suggests, buy 2 24" cabinets, side by side so the cabinets can be accessed from the kitchen and bar stools on the other side????? any ideas
planning on an island with the sink to one side (like this one). Prep sink is 17" x 17 " (exterior size) & needs at least a 21" cabinet. Should I use a 24" cabinet instead because that would leave about 4" to the edge of the counter? How much space should there to the edge of the counter? Thanks!
I think bathrooms are the easiest place to isolate your hardware/lighting finishes. Traditionally a nickel or chrome would have been used in the bathrooms even if brass was used in other areas of a home. We find it a pleasant aesthetic to mix finishes throughout
