I like the Roman Shade/blind look - for my bathroom
decision. Blinds generally come in one of three standard sizes: ½ inch, 1 inch and 2 inches. The ½-inch slat is the most popular, because it gives homes a contemporary feel. The 1-inch version is a compromise between the narrowest and the widest blinds; they take less labor to manufacture than the ½-inch
Venetian blinds. The slats can be arranged horizontally, like these …

down a metal rod, but I have done this with some help from someone at a hardware store. They generally have a tool that they use to cut metal plumbing and it can be used to cut down a metal drapery rod as well. I hope that helps... Lisa
The blinds are made by Smith and Noble and they are a natural woven project. I don't remember the name of the color, but they will send you small samples. Thanks for your interest. Lisa
find a metal rod there are many hardware stores that will cut that down for you (they usually have the equipment in the plumbing section). If you buy a larger rod (48")and cut it in half just remember to get an extra set of finials and brackets as you will need two for each rod. I hope that is helpful

when the blinds are up!!! I don't like the continuos loop metal bead look since that lives behind the blinds and a little inconvenient to operate - since you have to reach out behind the blinds!!! So any suggestions? Thanks for your time.
wooden blinds with top window trim exposed?
opinion that blinds would never give you the same design look and I do I use wood blinds in other designs but never to achieve a look like this. The woven shades are flatter and cover the window trim as well as the space above the window. The shade under the crown molding or ceiling line in effect emphasizes
"Budget Blinds" as they offer a huge selection of high quality woven wood shades at a fraction of the price.

vinyl or metal portion of the window because it can compromise the window seal. There are corner brackets available and ways to mount shades like this in windows without dry wall at attach to. Any professional window covering company should be able to come up with a solution for you just like these.

Faux wood blinds are recommended if painted binds are used.
If you are going to use a painted wood blind, you might as well go faux. Nobody will be able to tell the difference. The wood blinds shown here, by the way, have a top treatment that conceals the roll and clutch — always a good idea!

Nice room overall. To make a dark bedroom… The wider the slat in a blind, the fewer breaks there
slat in a blind, the fewer breaks there are to admit light. Wood blinds commonly come with 2- or 2½-inch slats, but wood can warp, which lets in light. For long-term darkness, choose composite blinds, which look like wood and retain their shape indefinitely.
