Having an issue with a stair case - there are 2 steps and need them curved on one end. Installer not sure - he wants me to square them off. Thanks in advance for your advice.
installer a stair installer or a trim man? It makes me very concerned if anyone doing a stair job doesn't know how to get a radius tread and riser done. I go on to think about how they will be attaching the newels to the treads and the handrails to the newels. These things can make a stair last a long
out of luck! We can make any shape tread and riser. We could make the parts and ship them to you or I would be glad to see if there is a qualified stair company or installer in your area. I think you are in Austin Texas so if you want to email me I will see how we may assist you with this project.

How do you get the stair round at the bottom
Don't like curving, do like waintscoating up entire wall, do like lower ceiling when you come in. Don't like half round stairs.

Looks great! I'm wondering what type of wood you used on the stairs and what type on the floors. Also, can you tell me what type of stain you used? Thanks! Greg

How difficult is it to put wood on the rounded stairs? Is it expensive?
The majority of my staircase is square however I have about 3-4 stairs at the bottom that are rounded.
What is the length required for the stair in ground floor??
You typically design curved stairs or stairs with "bowed" treads on an AutoCAD design program. I do the design work here. It does cost more due to the amount of additional wood you use to glue up your tread blanks and the labor as well. Any competent stair company can give you the design and
Curved staircases are always more expensive, but if you just round-off the first 3-4 steps, you can still get a great effect.

spinals . The other 12 steps to the lower walkout area the same . I am also considering changing the collar of the first two posts when you start up the stairs . So the railings would remain in the stain from original build . The spindals are white . So maybe changing the leading posts to something heavier
Yes, there are two more. Unfortunately, we do not have a photo of the top of the stairs.
