I love everything about the exterior of this house. I noticed the windows are black on the outside but white on the inside - interested in something similar for my CA remodel
Love the floors, do you have any info about them to share?

We will be building in about a year or maybe less. We have a beautiful view and I love how this is so open!
The flooring is thin brick tile from Inglenook Tile. You can read more about it on their website: http://www.inglenooktile.com.
The casement windows are all 2'-2" wide and 3'-6" high. There is about 12" of wall left between the trim and the wall on the right side of the three windows, not visible in this photo. Hope that helps and good luck with
These cubbies are 18" wide by 16" deep, with the bench at the bottom extending out an additional 6". Obviously size can vary-- about the smallest I would recommend would be 15" wide by 12" deep. Good luck with your project! Emily
The style used is "Wright's Ferry", and the color is "Standard Variation" of their basic red-colored brick. Inglenook was great about sending samples so you can make sure you get the exact color you want. The floor shown in the photo was clear coated with a gloss (wet-look) sealer

It looks like the landing on these stairs is acutally a set of spiraling steps. We may have to do this in our stair remodel, and I'm wondering about their functionality and also if the construction was difficult? Thank you for your help!
other species this stain color. It is a warm brown and your contractor should be able to make up a sample on another wood species for you. Maple is about the only wood that I can think of that would not take this dark of a stain very well~ it is too hard and even with wetting to open up the grain, it
I think you are asking about the newel posts? They would be 8" in width and since a handrail is at 36" I would say that they are probably 40" tall. Or the horizontal hand hewn

I would like to know more about the hood?
can you tell me about the floors?
is not a good idea. I have switched to a three door because of space issues. I can put so many more platters and large items in there and not worry about stacking and spillage. As far as I can tell that is the only thing I don't like in this kitchen. I love a light and bright kitchen with the dark island
I have heard lots of great things about the Waterlox product! Satin is a great finish for Black Walnut too. My new email is joel@oakandbroad.com
Love the floor would like to know about it and the color. Love the layout of the kitchen.
