was told in our new shower the door would be too heavy for the hinges doing it this way. Assume this is a steam shower too. Is the glass 1/2" or 3/8" as he also says 1/2" will only open out as 3/8" will open both ways. We'd like the glass to go all the way to the top and not have a separate panel.
