2,791 Traditional Boston Bathroom Design Photos

The literal translation of "a room with a bath" has evolved into a more technical description where a "full bathroom" must comprise four plumbing fixtures: bathtub, shower, toilet and sink. After these four essential elements, it is all up to us to mix and match materials to transform a utilitarian room into a peaceful private spa, a glamorous spot to put on make-up or an eco-friendly place to shave. Bathroom cabinets and bathroom vanities store the ever increasing number of necessary products. Today, well designed bathrooms are beautiful, durable and highly functional.

The master bathroom soaker tub is the focal point of the bathroom with a frameless shower glass enclosure detail to allow for a perfect view of the tub upon entry. The perfect amount of grey and sea foam green marble tiling detail at the vanity areas creates interest and adds to the serenity. Photographer: Stu Siegel

The homeowner wanted to add more functionality to her small first-floor half-bath by introducing a shower. We introduced an enclosed glass stall with a base that mirrors the period baseboards lining the room, as well as period-appropriate lighting.
