and treat sloped ceilings like walls by wallpapering them in a pretty, petite print; here the treatment softens the look of the angles.
Use sloped ceilings wisely. “Dormers are great for window seats, desks or reading nooks,” says Heron. “These types of activities don’t require ceiling height, so
constricted, they provide extra function to that space.”If you’re short on storage, built-in shelving is another wise use of the space where a sloped ceiling meets the floor.

Light hanging by bed from ceiling
Don't overcrowd the space. Attic bedrooms are generally tighter spaces, and if there are sloped ceilings, the room can feel claustrophobic with too many furnishings. Add only what you need — less is definitely more in this case.

An inverted slope doesn't easily invite hung wall art. But something large, lightweight and graphic – not seeing the heart dead-on doesn't change the viewer's perception of what it is – works perfectly. We love that leafy shade of green, too, evoking the feeling of being under the boughs of a tree.

Is the crown molding placed below the sloped ceiling? Looks like the molding doesn't rest against the slope.
I have a similar room situation where for a short distance (12") we have two different ceilings, yet I'd love to have
have crown molding in the room. The room goes from a flat ceiling to a sloped ceiling.
Thanks. We have a room that has a flat ceiling except for about 10" that has a sloped ceiling. I was trying to think how I could put a crown molding/trim piece in that room and deal with that 10" difference in ceilings. Thank you!

Other than wooden beams, is there a more cost-effective way to accent this beautiful sloping roof? Would a different colour look good?
I will have a vaulted ceiling in our master and wondered how long of a pole I can get without the fan wobbling...any idea

So perhaps adding onto the beams to make them into trusses and also creating a spring line with some trim for the ceiling trusses to connect to and start. There are many really nice houzz examples

COST - celing option for MASTER - both the beams and T&G ceiling?
This more subtle version incorporates a white painted-wood ceiling with gently arched beams. The curve of the beams seems to envelope the bed, creating an elegant sanctuary in this well-appointed bedroom.
