We opened the entry to this Bungalow nook just a smidge, making it easy to slip in and out. The custom mahogany table has long drop leaves to make it easy to reach the lift-top storage in the built in bench seating.

Hi Ethel; thank you for your question. This nook's table, benches and wainscot were made by a local finish carpenter. We designed the pieces and made sure everything worked together well - both function
edges that fold down to allow easier access to the in-bench storage. I usually plan bench seats to be 18" - 24" deep depending on the scale of the nook and whether there will be pillows. It is nice to have the table overhang the seats by an inch or two for a comfortable reach.
