radio wave system (not sure of the proper terminology here though) in which case you do not need a sensor by the TV - but costs more apparently... in this case, the equipment is in the side cabinet and the door has to be open i nor for the remote to be read.

purchase a system for the roof?
the roof system from. We got this system from a manufacturer out of Oregon and they were able to replace the panels if broken however they are incredibly strong so we don't anticipate an issue. There is a deck on the second floor so they can reach the panels to clean them from above.
hear the system is working so well 5+ years later with the freezing cold and 40+" of snow we have had this winter.
