Is the front door flush or is it set in and if so, how much?
how wide is the driveway and circle?
How long is the driveway? from the front door?
Symmetry. Stand in front of a mirror and look at yourself. Now draw an imaginary line down the middle of your face and torso. Chances are good that your left and right sides match and
composed, mind you — there will be a little variation from side to side. Small differences add interest and keep things from being too static.Explore how architects create and use symmetry in their designs.

My bathroom fixture supplier has said I should not have a drop in tub with surround because of the potential leaking. Can you explain how this works here?
How does the crown molding work in the bathroom? Are you afraid it would warp? Is there special treatment? Would like to put molding in my bathroom
How do you add a door to beveled tile?
Can you tell e how you got the marble on the tub like you have? I love it!!!

Our bright, white, open kitchen
For a small kitchen...how neat is this ?
a little more your style probably but see how it can be interesting with white walls!
How to create original dining area in small spaces
Learn to say "yes" to hand-me-downs. Grandma's piano? Aunt Samantha's cane armchair? Yes, please! It can't be overstated how much having one or two nicer, older pieces mixed in will elevate everything around them.

Bedroom transformation
How did you do this door?
see how the door covers up the step to get a few extra inches of "door"
stepping each form back you get nice corners you can fill," Smith says. If you look back at the second picture in this ideabook, you'll get a good idea of how this works from the exterior. Whenever you spy a diagonal inside this house, it helps you read a roofline or the line of a staircase. The thick bookshelf

How does one acquire nickel gap board. Do you go to a lumber company and have it made custom, or how is it purchased. I know you partially already answered the question, but you didn't really say how in the end you acquire it. If it's a builder making it, how is it done? Thanks

a projected frame window, stool and apron trim or just the way the casement window is designed? Can you tell me what company makes this window? and how deep is the sill? What type of wood trim is around the window?
I like the deep-deep window sill - still figuring out how to work the windows.

Timber Framed Screened Porch
How did the ScreenTight work with the angled sections on top?
I need to build something similar(without the cement walls), but am having a hard time finding someone that does not do the typical sunroom thing. I need the design to mirror the existing roofline or it will
and have a few questions: - how do you hide the screen moulding? I can't see any in the photos, and you don't appear to have mounted the screen on the inside face either, which would be kind of kludgy. The clean look with no moulding is great. - how to attach screen between the doubled posts
we are considering a similar roof on our screened porch in Atlanta, but we have a wooded lot. how do you keep it clean? i'm concerned it'll become grimy and discolored from tree debris over time. have you experienced this?

Traditional Family Room
How was the fieldstone installed for the fireplace? Is there mortar or grout in between the stones. It doesn't look like there is any showing so I am just wondering how that was installed. It is just gorgeous! We are building a new home
Your builder could frame it out with drywall. Leave an arch or square around fireplace revealing how ever much stone you want to see.

I like how this looks, would it work with the stone?
