wire fence surrounding dog run with dog house. photo by Galen Fultz
The 34" x 16' hog wire fencing I've found to date has small openings on the bottom and large openings on top. Whose 3" x 3" or 4" x 4" hog wire fencing (manufacturer) are you using? Thanks.
What kind of gravel did you use for your dog run?
How did you secure the wire fence to the wood posts?

A fenced-in area with an enclosed coop also works well to integrate younger and adult chickens. As the chickens get used to each other, they have separate space to move in, and fighting is kept to a minimum.

that the fence sections along the back and rounding the corner are made of solid boards butted together. The boards of the sections to the left, where privacy isn't as important, are spaced a bit apart.
That's a good question. This fence is 42" high. Tall enough to provide a sense if enclosure AND

is the fencing in this picture?
We are looking to fence in our backyard, but I'd like something a little different (plus we have 2 growing BIG dogs)
Must_Love_Dogs, The fence is four feet tall. It was initially installed to keep our Golden Retriever, Reilly in the yard and to comply with local by-laws as we have a 5,000 gallon Koi pond in our backyard. The design was completely utilitarian and is now enveloped by a privet hedge. The door, found in

Exterior - Classic American Dutch Colonial
I love the look of your fence and need to find something similar for our corner lot. Can you share the kind/type of fence, what it is made of and where you found it? thanks
I have a 1897 dutch colonial revival home with gambrel roof, shed dormers and shed porch. Is it inappropriate, architectually speaking, to convert the dormers to dog house? Must the shed porch roof be modified as well. My main goal is to improve the line of sight from
Is the fence just for decoration or is it around the entire property?
Yes, by dog house I mean gable. See side view picture.
The fencing defines separate yard zones and the edge of the front property
The fence was installed after the initial construction; therefore I do not have the exact information. However this appears to be a custom design constructed from cedar boards, rails and newel posts; with all components painted. The components should be available at most good lumber yards. This
