Attic Conversion to Bedroom

Questions3
This whole-house renovation was featured on the 2008 Austin NARI Tour of Remodeled Homes. The attic space was converted into a bedroom with closet space and bath, cooled by a minisplit system. An eyebrow window was cut into the roofline to allow more daylight into the space, as well as adding a nice visual element to the facade. Photography by Greg Hursley, 2008

This enchanting bedroom is a fantasy world for a lucky little girl. The beautiful mural creates a whimsical, garden setting. The comfortable chair and ottoman are a great place to curl up for a bedtime story. The reversible bedding allows this little girl to create different looks. The handpainting on the ceiling fan blades adds a whimsical touch.

Our daughter was "done" with her little girl room ... here's what we came up with to hopefully hold her over until college! The bed was my grandmothers, the bedding is custom, the window coverings are from Target, the desk and bookshelves are from Pier One, and the mural is from Pottery Barn Teen.
