We will have a rail system between the 2 upper cabinets. If I do a s/s rail can I use darker hinges and pulls? If so what would you recommend? The cabinets are a creamy white and the appliances are s/s.

nothing like a large clock that you can see from anywhere in the kitchen. There are some fantastic replica railway clocks around, or scour those car-boot sales (if you live in the U.K., like me) and vintage shops. This clock is a gorgeous feature — it's the first thing I noticed when I saw this lovely kitchen

in short supply but the character more than makes up for it in your quaint little kitchen. You’re humble and heart felt and live in the now, and if it’s pretty and practical you’re in love. With the sun streaming in, and the kettle on the boil, does life get any better than this?TELL USWhich is your favourite

whats the area of the kitchen without the furniture?
I have a late 1940s brick colonial and want to keep the cabinet doors to something
in some things from the late 40s / early 50s into the design. I wanted ideas before starting to work with the contractors that will be renovating the kitchen.
These are 1920s style cabinet doors called "inset" doors and the cabinets are called "face frame". 1940s was towards the end of the depression
standard sizes change making it impossible to replace built ins from off the shelf resulting in a not so cost effective renovation. Even from the 80's to now the quality of products have changed. Yes technology is better now but those micro chips don't last for ever look at cars everything seems to
