Historical Colonial in Pasadena
O'Keefe & Merritt designed their stoves with towel bars that acted as supports for the folding cover. Wedgewood stoves don't have the towel bars, the shelves were designed not to cover the cooktop but to simply fold down like a backsplash.
Looks like a porch. Pretty and open

These cabinets on side of windows don't look very deep. Maybe that would work on sides of window. Or shelves that aren't deep.

Kitchen with a View
I have a window that slides from left to right to open it. The window looks out onto a public catwalk. I thought this type of cabinet could also offer us a little more privacy and yet still give me light
I can be reached and cleaned by simply opening the cabinet doors.
The windows at the back of the cabinets are fixed and do not open, therefore no screen. To clean, the window is the back surface of the cabinet it can be reached and cleaned by simply opening the doors at the front of the cabinet.
The windows are Pella fixed casement windows behind the cabinets, they do not open. The windows below the cabinets are awing windows that open with the cranks at the bottom.
great use of shelving with the window
