features in our design in NC. We are designing our great room very much like this one, and we have 9' ceilings. We are adding a wood-burning fireplace so our builder has told us that the mantle will need to be "taller" than most. Is the fireplace in this photo wood burning or gas? I'm just trying to

of the built in counter, which would generally be in the 30" to 36" range and get an estimate on the overall height, which would relate to the width. you could also look at the doors--if they are between 6'8" to 7', and then the transom is around 1'2 to 1' 4", then you have a roughly 8' to top of built
