The house becomes the long wall, one room wide, that organizes the site into its two parts. The garage wing, running p

thanks to the wood-burning fireplace. "Need I say more?!", she jokes. The feeling of the space is akin to an elegant lodge, with a cut stone hearth and plenty of wood. Gary splits logs to stack alongside the fireplace, which brings both form and function to the arrangement. Armchairs: Tommy Bahama

I have a large open space to the left of the fireplace and a window to the right if I build in shelves on the left will that look lopsided?
Where to put a sofa if you have an opening to dining room by the sofa.
I have a almost 14 foot window and want to hang drapes on each side to soften the room. Because some have told me due to the large window I should go with 100" on each side to give the fullness needed, but won't be able to close the drapes (100" each side isn't enough) we have a lovely city view and
don't want to block it with drapes in the middle. So my question...how did you get what appears to be a very large window as well, a rod that doesn't look like it has a bracket in the middle of rod?
