This granite is much thicker than the typical size. Did you request a thicker slab or was the look created by stacking two slabs on top of each other? Also is this a honed finish? Thanks so much for your help. I just love the elegant looks you create!
Just beautiful! May I ask what the dimensions of the island granite slab? Is there a seam?
If you're searching for white granite, try looking at "quartzite." It's a completely natural material (to be distinguished from man made "quartz") that is as durable as granite, but tends to look more like white marbles (Super White Quartzite and White Macaubas Quartzite)
The island is 6' x 10'. We were able to source an over sized slab, so it does not have a seam. If you are unable to get an over sized slab you can get a seam that is almost invisible if you have a good installer, and good matching slabs.
