I will be re-using maple butcher block countertops in a kitchen renovation....they have been sanded to natural state. In past I used mineral oil, however wondering if any other products offer safer, more efficient seal....counters will get heavy
If it's painted, what color? What exactly is the stone counter top and color?
Are the countertops all Maple? The pictures make the counters by the sink look like some type of stone- optical illusion?!
What type and color of stone is it?
All maple butcherblock and 30" of stone on either side of the sink.
It is a limestone that Arena Stone Products,Inc. calls Fossil Green Antiqued.

Is the center island tabled fixed to the floor or does the weight of the stone/table keep it in place? If fixed, what method was used? Thanks!
digest, since you know they'll be fixed at some point. I don't think it tacks on any extra cost or work. I think when Clearstone is applied, the stone is sanded down, much like it would be if it were being refinished. I'm pretty sure that's what I was told, but do double check, as I could be wrong!
the countertops are marble and the white for the cabinets was chosen to compliment the stone - I recommend that you have a small sample of your stone/countertop material with you and to find a color that works best with it
