Hugging the shore of Hockomock Channel in Muscongus Bay, this stately retreat is organized around a central Great Room with flanking gallery for the owners’ eclectic art and antique collection. A massive field stone chimney tops both interior and exterior fireplaces, which combined with the stone terraces and 3-season porch, provide for the owners entertainment needs. Eco+Historical, Inc.
This 1903 Queen Anne Victorian Cottage was owned by a single family from 1920-2009 before it underwent a gut rehabilitation in 2012-2013 to transform it from a decaying 2BR/1BA to a 5BR/3.5BA contemporary family home. The detailing of the wood stair makes it an interesting sculptural element of the home while an eco+historical custom light fixture in the center of the stair hangs from the roof and visually connects the main and upper floors.
This house is targeted to achieve a LEED Platinum green certification from the US Green Building Council in 2013.

The ground floor au pair or in-law space has its own kitchenette and houses the home's home theatre. The Kitchenette FSC-certified walnut veneer cabinets and the oil and wax-finished white oak plank floors add warmth.
