tina, what is the size of the red rug you have used here? thanks
I love your choice of colors for this room! I can imagine that this design and use of color would work well in a geodesic dome. The perfect anchor in a tall room. Thanks for sharing!
example of built-ins by fireplace - referencing left side shelves only. Combo of doors/drawer/open space. Level of finish.
While the space is big and full of light, the warmth is introduced through certain walls colors, and bold furnishings. Love the books and knick-knacks - which add
vast to invite intimate conversation or relaxation. This one is different, thanks to the area rug; it draws the focus downward, to human level. The space is still grand but not intimidating, and the eyes don’t wander as much.

tremendous transformation to accomodate a main level master suite, 3 kids rooms and bath upstairs, new kitchen at the back and living and family room space.
think I would be able to put my heavy Kitchen Aid, mixer, and toaster on a slide out shelf like that and create a working space? My kitchen is so small and I could use some space in a pantry built in the eating nook! Could you tell me where I can get something like that or if it's custom made? Thank
model is counter depth not cabinet depth, which mimics a built-in. The refrigerator is black with overlay panels customizable to the cabinetry color used throughout the rest of the kitchen; the black seen is not trim but the model color behind the panels. this built-in banquette occupies the space of the entire former kitchen!
I am sure that the bench was built on site, for the space. It is very easy to build such a bench, any carpenter can do it. Advice: put a piano hinge in the top so it can also be used for storage.
I would think that the bench is custom built to the space. It looks fitted in and built of plywood and beadboard.
