Front Exterior
000sf single family residence, the home was divided into nine apartments in the 1960’s and had fallen into disrepair. The new owners purchased the property with a vision to convert the building back to single family residence for their young family. The design concept was to restore the limestone exterior
mahogany windows with new high-performance low-E glass, and a green roof.
The new windows on this facade were replaced as part of a historic renovation and all of the windows were custom replications of the original windows from the late 1800s, but with modern improvements such as double pane glass. The custom window fabrication was by Salb Sash & Door Company in Chicago.

I love the small diamond windows on the sleeping porch. Are those the old single pane or custom-made double pane?
Windows, materials, color and specifics..please provide.

At first glance you might consider this house Georgian, but take a closer look at the fenestration. Commonly on colonial revivals, the lower-level windows are grouped rather than spaced apart like the upper-floor windows. The double-hung windows have divided panes

this is Window Pane or Halcyon Green?
THX! That is on the same chart as Windowpane. Was thinking of painting a window seat that color while using Windowpane on the walls. Interesting that it looks more blue on the photograph. Beautiful together though!

come as a single bowl, or only the double sink style.
question of single basin availability. The same style was made in single basin models form 24" to 42". The 24, 30, 36 inches being the most common. I have only seen one 42" single basin. Keep in mind that the single basins will all be only 5 1/2 to 6" deep! My apologies for not adding this comment earlier

between one window and next? Not sure what it's called, sorry! Not the part from Marvin, but the vertical piece that runs between the casings, if that makes sense!
Hi, I am reviewing options on Marvin Ultimate Casement windows and was wondering if you happen to remember which option you went with for the interior frames of the windows above, between solid wood or fiberglass coated with veneer. Thanks!!

Double-hung windows are also quite versatile. A combination of a fixed sash held tight to the ceiling with double-hung windows below can create an open and airy porch-like space.
