the late 1800’s. Originally designed as an 11,000sf single family residence, the home was divided into nine apartments in the 1960’s and had fallen into disrepair. The new owners purchased the property with a vision to convert the building back to single family residence for their young family. The design
are seamlessly integrated throughout and include renewable materials, high-efficiency mechanicals and thermal envelope, restored original mahogany windows with new high-performance low-E glass, and a green roof.
The new windows on this facade were replaced as part of a historic renovation and all of the windows were custom replications of the original windows from the late 1800s, but with modern improvements such as double pane glass. The custom window fabrication was by Salb Sash & Door

Window are all modified stock windows - from Eagle (no longer in business, bought out by Andersen I think) All are double pane insulating glass - with "adhered" muntins on
on both sides - what they call SDL. Marvin does the best job of making diagonal pane windows in my opinion.

I have 2 similar window panes that I would like to turn into picture frames like the one in your picture. What did you use to get picture to stay? The window panes that I have are heavy, what is the best method of hanging it?
How did u attach this prints to the window
I used picture hanging wire attached to the back of the frame with d-rings. I just used clear tape to keep the photos in the panes. Easy stuff:-)

Lowees, it sounds like your new triple pane windows will probably be good enough. I have never encountered anything resembling a standard when it comes to UV protection. The manufacturer of the windows should have detailed performance numbers for the particular windows you are purchasing. Never assume unless
and they did have some, just not enough to make a difference. Most dual pane windows will block about 30-40% of the UV. Low E windows have a bigger range in the 35-99% with most of them I see in the 40-50% range. Triple pane should be 50-99% but again that is a wide range depending upon the types of

Actually there are switches under the two side windows,but they are parallel to the counter and not in the vertical position, as they usually are.
