Is the fireplace for real fire or artificial?
It is a real gas fireplace by Regency. http://www.regency-fire.com/Home.aspx
able to answer the question you posted on houzz for our firm regarding a fireplace wall project, specifically type of tile use on surround!!!! Unsure why. But here is the answer- it is a 12 x 24 Mare Bianco Travertine. Hopefully that helps you search it out in Calgary. Regards, Laura

problems worse. Wood-burning fireplaces are also responsible for a surprising amount of air pollution, which is why there are restrictions on wood burning in some areas. They can also cause home fires, due to a buildup of creosote, the substance left behind on the chimney walls after wood is burned.

May I ask where you bought the fire pit?
I can't believe it's not ipe! Does it look real in person or plastic like? Why did you choose composite as opposed to real wood? Again, beautiful work
Where did you get that fire pit?
Where do you get this fire pit?
This most likely is an ethanol fire feature. Basically like a giant sterno pot like you'd use under a buffet chaffing dish to keep food warm. This is the up and coming design for flexible fire decoration in and around your home as they are clean burning with no soot
next to the fire they look like giant marshmallows! was that the plan?
This is one style of many from Eco Smart Fire. www.ecosmartfire.com

I love the room. my only question is why do you have so much fire wood in the fire?
comment like that is ""ill-bred", uncultured and definitely bad mannered. Constructive comments are about why something doesn't look as well as it could. Just as positive comments need to say why something looks good.." I like it/I don't like it" indicates a lack of thought and vocabulary - nevertheless
design not the designer. I wanted an explanation for something that was especially annoying. If that beautiful bedroom was mine I would like to light the fire. Where the hell do I put the wood then? People do need to live in their houses. They also should be free to comment constructively - not make personal
I like the fire place with the wood
