By filling in a portion of a sunken living room floor, we created new pathways to enter the kitchen. Formerly, the kitchen was ell-shaped and not connected to the living room. There is now a centrally located opening that functions like the center of a wheel with the kitchen, dining and living rooms around it. It's a wonderful space for entertaining!
