finish. I think its a water based poly finish if my eyes serve me correctly. An oil based finish would have given it a honey color. Here is a similar floor made for client that used the oil based finish. You can see the color difference.

One of the most spectacular original architectural details that the new design honors is this beautiful wood ceiling, typical of the Spanish Revival style. "We fell in love with the ceiling and didn't change a thing," Umansky says.

I am looking for a cream paint color for my dining room that also has wood trim and hardwood floors, like the photo. Would you say that Monterey White is cream, not tan? I'm looking for something not too tan, not too yellow. This photo
Beautiful mantel! Would you mind sharing what type of wood and stain color were used for it? Thank-you
Great focal point. Love the wood and the curves
1. Carved wood. Art nouveau artists, designers and craftsmen rejected traditional influences, moving their designs toward an original and more modern style. In the home, intricate carvings from the Victorian era gave way to a more curvilinear look, with sinuous lines and nature-inspired motifs. Get
trim pieces and apply them to flat surfaces on tables, dressers or frames. Feeling really adventurous? DIY veterans can trace an art nouveau motif onto wood and use a Dremel kit to carve out the details for an authentic period look.
