This is where the shoji is mounted on the wall in front of the opening. Using a valance box with the track inside or using the barn-door type track hardware. It's not perfect, but if the opening is near the size (smaller!) than the shoji it's-self, it may work well.”
“The problem with prefab shoji is that the builder must build to the size of the shoji, not the other way around. Makes for a real issue if it's a remodel and you aren't building everything from scratch...
If there are existing openings, the shoji must be custom built to that size.
