Streaks of light from the free-form curving monorail provide an interesting and textured backdrop to the art pieces in the foreground. The asymmetrical grazing of the brick wall give the space a theatrical feel.
Subtle miniature LED downlights were recessed into the underside of each tread to highlight the stair stringer and put a small splash of light on the tread bellow:

Hanging over the stair is the iconic Artichoke Chandelier from Louis Poulsen. The artichoke was designed such that you can never have a direct sightline to the lamp for maximum visual comfort.

With a concept given by the interior designer, we designed the lighting in a very unique manner. These shelves were illuminated both up and down from the same light strip. The removable front of the shelf provided a valance to conceal the light strip.
