Home-cooked meal, party of two. The kitchen remodel converted a shagtastic office/storage space into a spacious kitchen-great room combo, with this small dining area just adjacent. Private, lots of natural light, your own kitchen close at hand: what more could you ask for?
Six deep drawers, energy-efficient washer and dryer, and fold-out ironing board - this small space is totally functional. (And the homeowners love that they don't have to climb two flights of stairs to do laundry now.)
People think of old homes as dark and closed-in, but Albert Kahn's design couldn't have been further from both. Natural light floods nearly every room in the house.
